The Wine Advocate is the magazine by the famous American taster Robert Parker.
All wines are blind tasted and evaluated comparatively. The famous Parker rating is on a scale of 50 to 100 points. These are divided according to different criteria such as nose, colour, bouquet, mouth and potential for evolution. The wines are qualified as very good with an excellent quality/price ratio between 87/100 and 89/100. The rare wines that exceed 90/100 are, according to Robert Parker, the best in their category and exceptional labels. Parker hopes that "the rating will allow the reader to locate the overall quality of a wine in a category, as this is evaluated by a professional critic." His influence is enormous, a good vote can increase the price of a wine. Today Robert Parker is slowly moving towards retirement; leaving the mission of keeping The Wine Advocate continuing to young tasters, with palates as demanding as his.
